Central Technical School

Today, the student population is half of what it was at the end of the 90s. It’s left CTS oddly vacant, with entire sections of the school being completely abandoned. During and in between class I would often lurk around the school exploring its nooks and crannies. Unused dressing rooms and decaying catwalks lay above the auditorium, existing completely unbeknownst to its everyday occupants. A sixth floor contains vandalized classrooms and an operational wind tunnel, yet remains locked at all times. A series of tunnels collect filth below the school, used only by the pipe maintenance guy and some unruly students. Trapped in between two eras, Central Tech is struggling to reinvent itself in the face of a crippling reputation and an administration’s misguided approach to revitalizing their school’s spirit.
